"While my project seemed to be moving in the right direction, I encountered two new problems. First, there were other 'religions' that did not fit nicely into either 'theism' or 'purpose.' Possibilities such as 'God is an alien' or Timothy Leary's psychotropic spiritual drug philosophy didn't have a place in my chart. To solve this second problem, I added a third prong labeled 'other.' This category is designed to be a catch-all for any religion that could not easily be designated 'theistic' or 'purpose.' This 'other' prong felt like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, but as I thought my project through, it was as close as I could get to encompassing all religious possibilities. So the new chart looked like this:
